Out now: JPR Issue 7.2!
We are delighted to present you with our 2025 special issue of JPR, entitled Complicit Testimonies and guest edited by Ivan Stacy!
This rich collection examines testimony through the lens of complicity in a wide range of contexts. It consists of an introduction by Ivan Stacy and eight research articles that utilise various disciplinary approaches and span a wide range of geographical locations. The introduction makes a compelling case for examining testimony in the light of complicity, and the need to pay scholarly attention to testimonies authored by complicit parties. The articles – by Eunike Mutiara Himawan, Annie Pohlman and Winnifred R. Louis; Jayne Persian; Michelle Anderson; Sofía Forchieri; Juliane Prade-Weiss; Sue Vice; Guido Bartolini; and Ivan Stacy – address a mixture of real-world testimony and artistic forms – fiction and visual art – that engage testimony. The locations addressed in the special issue include Indonesia, Australia, South Africa, Argentina, Eastern Europe, Italy, the UK, and Vietnam.
