Aftermath of the Holocaust and Genocides

Edited by Victoria Khiterer and Erin Magee.

This book illuminates unknown aspects of the aftermath of the Holocaust and genocides, and discusses trials of Holocaust and genocide perpetrators, commemoration of the victims, attempts to revive Jewish national life, and outbreaks of post-World War II anti-Semitism. It also analyzes the representation of the Holocaust and genocides in literature, press and film. The volume includes thirteen articles, which are based on recently discovered archival materials, and provides new approaches to the research of the Armenian genocide, the Holodomor, ethnic cleansing and the Holocaust.

Victoria Khiterer is Associate Professor of History at Millersville University, USA. She is a founding member of the Scientific Council of the Babi Yar Holocaust Memorial Center in Kiev, Ukraine, and is the author and editor of six books and over 100 articles on Russian and Eastern European Jewish history.

Erin Magee is the Graduate Assistant for the Millersville University History Department. She is currently studying for an MA in History, and will graduate in Spring 2020 with a concentration in Colonial America.
